DorothyThorpe was born in Salt Lake City, 1901. Thorpe was a mid-centuryAmerican artist who designed beautiful glassware and ceramic piecesout of her Los Angeles studio.
Like many of her mid-centurycontemporaries, such as Georges Briard and Fred Press, she was adesigner of glassware. Bowl:5" diameter and 2" tall. All of the paint looks intact. I don't see any scratched off anywhere. Minor superficial imperfections may be present, consistent with age and use. Minor flaws may be present due to issues in manufacturing: glaze skips, glaze pops, firing pin/stilt marks, kiln marks or air bubbles.
