In excellent condition with the tiniest of fleabites on the bowl rim and one small chip on the inner rim of the lid. The stained glass process was developed by Bedrich Egermann in the C19th and is a complex process where elements are added to the glass surface under high temperature, ensuring a thin uniform colored glass layer.
The engraver then produces the cut to clear design by etching through the surface layer of the glass. The process was further developed and continued to be used by the Egermann designers. This is an original and Egermann are still producing similar designs to this day. A wonderful collectible museum condition piece of Czech Bohemian art glass.
