Vintage Barovier & Toso Grosse Costolature Iridescent Art Glass Shell Form Bowl

A fantastic vintage Barovier & Toso iridescent art glass "Grosse Costolature" bowl, made in Italy circa 1939. Heavy handblown iridized glass with scallop shell shape and scrolling handle top. 4.5"h x 8.25"l x 8.75w. In good vintage condition, displaying no chips or cracks, just some signs of wear consistent with age, such as scratches (mainly to the base underside) and a couple small spots of surface abrasion (observed to two of the curled shell tips), also some production imperfections, such as a large ripple in the glass below the curled shell tips - see pictures. Unmarked, but likely for Seguso Vetri d'Arte.
