Welcome to Antiques & Moore! THIS LISTING IS FOR A FABULOUS 12 5/8 SIGNED STEUBEN CRYSTAL ART GLASS TOOLED BASE CENTERPIECE BOWL. This huge crystal centerpiece was designed by Steuben glass artist George Thompson and was issued in 1956 and is absolutely stunning! The crystal has beautiful clarity which Steuben glass is known for. The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Etched "Steuben" signature on the base. Measures 12 5/8" in diameter and 4 1/4" high. George Thompson was a highly esteemed designer at Steuben and worked there from 1936 until he retired in 1974. His pieces were in every Steuben exhibit from during this period and he was recognized both nationally and internationally with numerous awards. Examples of his work ca be found in both private and public collections around the world.
