Shirley Elford Hand Blown Art Glass Extra Large Bowl Sculpture One Of A Kind

Shirley Elford (RIP) was a very famous Canadian glass artist that created such great pieces as the Juno awards, Shirley's "Angels" and a museum of famous one of a kind pieces. Occasionally she could be commissioned to create a "one of" special piece as the one being offered here. This exceptional piece is titled "Freedom" and was created in 2004 as a special gift requested by a friend of hers. Shirley did mostly statuary, Angel's and glass ornaments, she very rarely did bowls.

This is an exceptionally large bowl measuring 15 inches in diameter and 6 inches tall. The "waves" in the bowl are very irregular and shows her creativity coming through. The coloring and pattern of the colors are beyond my description. Please look at the pictures to realize the beauty of this piece of art. This is the first time this work of art has been shown to the public.
