Ground and polished pontil and polished flat foot bottom. Deeply acid Etched grapes & leaf vine border. The grape pattern acid etching is distinctly different from Steuben's grape acid etch. However the individual grapes themselves are very similar to both Cambridge #401 and Steuben's Grape with the concentric swirling patterns inside each individual grape. This bowl is Attributed to H.

Around 1926 Sinclaire largely replaced the old wheel intaglio cutting/engravings (on crystal) which they are famous for, with deep acid etchings (plate etchings) on colored glass. The bowl is unsigned, but is likely by Sinclaire.

Acid etched Sinclaire pieces are rare, mostly produced during the last two years of the company's existence (1926/27). Size : 13" diameter rim x 3.5" tall at rim. Weight : approximately 3 lbs unpacked. Excellent condition for its age, no chips, no cracks, no excessive use-wear.

The bottom of the foot has normal age related light use-wear scuffs. Very good quality glass and workmanship. Overall this item has no significant damages, but it will show light use-wear consistent with it's age and prior utilization. As always due to age and prior usage, the item may have slight imperfections such as minor scuffs, scratches, trim wear, and/or slight manufacturing defects.
