Antique Victorian art glass bowl. Peach-blow/ glowing rosy peach color.
Presented here is an exquisite Kralik Bohemain art glass bowl. This has open punch handles, fluted open shape, it is 12 1/2" across the handles, 12" wide by 4 1/4 deep. The bowl is completely hand painted with raised enamel floral bouquets of violets and chrysanthemums, ornate scroll work and gilt. The color is a rosy peach with a glowing iridescent finish, the inside has a velvety feel. The bowl is cased, the outside is a milky clear, so fine the inside painting shows through. The bowl has hand written letters and numbers on one side (see photo) and the numbers 110 or 710 are embossed on the base, (see photo). Excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, some small bubbles or flaws in the making of the glass as is normal for glass of this era, a tiny air bubble on the inner edge of one handle opening but that's all in the manufacturing, only slight finish wear if looking hard. Spectacular 19th century art glass! The written description is based on my opinion and observation of the item.
