VINTAGE ITALIAN MURANO BLUE & GOLD AVENTURINE BULLICANTE ART GLASS ASHTRAY BOWL. EXQUISITE EXAMPLE OF QUALITY VINTAGE ITALIAN MURANO ART GLASS. Presenting a stunning vintage Italian Murano art glass ashtray / bowl which was expertly hand crafted by a Master Italian glass artist circa 1950s. This exceptionally fine example perfectly exhibits a magnificent range of master Murano glass artists techniques in the one impressive example. The skills of the artist who created this piece is evident at first glance. This sleekly curved rectangular shaped piece has been spectacularly coloured with a rich and radiant cobalt blue layer encased within the clear glass form. A lavish quantity of real gold aventurine inclusions float atop the radiant blue layer. A multitude of perfectly spaced little bullicante control bubbles surround the underside, spectacularly radiating light throughout the glass.
The striking blue and opulent glistening gold aventurine is a most attractive combination, while the bullicante control bubbles add a fabulous jewel-like sparkle to the glass. The sleek form, with is fabulous thick waved rim, perfectly flaunt the exquisite combination of masterful techniques and rich colours. This exquisite piece looks amazing with light passing through the glass, wonderfully intensifying the radiant blue colour and glistening off the gold inclusions and air bubbles.
Two indents to opposing sides of the bowl indicate this piece was originally designed to function as an ashtray. Appearing to have never been used as such this piece would make an equally attractive bowl or display item. This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly. This piece has been very well finished with a quality flat ground base with sufficient light surface scratches to authenticate this is a genuinely vintage example.
