Smith Bros Mt Washington Blown Art Glass Brides Basket Bowl Shaded Blue & Cased

Here we have a beautiful art glass bowl with a ruffled edge in shaded blue cased glass. It is about 3 1/2" high, and 8" across. I believe it is the glass insert for a brides basket or bowl. I think that because it has a flat ring foot that seems to me to have rub marks on it where it sat in a metal ring (probably silver plated), for a few decades.

I don't have the metal part, only the glass. It is blown glass with a ground pontil on bottom.

It is white on the inside with blue on the upper outside shading down to white. It is wonderfully decorated with vines and flowers and birds all the way around. It is a beautiful piece of Victorian glass. The ring foot measures 4 7/8 in diameter. It would fit a 5" ring nicely (or a 4 7/8" ring tightly). This piece is in excellent condition.
