DESCRIPTION: Prior to becoming a self-taught world renown master glass blower, Robert Palusky was a talented and inventive clay artist as exemplified by this stunning 1980s effort. It is made from white wear low-fired clay and features a wide gently angled rim that overhangs the interior of the bowl.
The latter features a series of artful abstract designs comprised of inlay colored clays Mr. Palusky was one of the only ceramic artists doing this kind of work at the time. Assorted well placed piercings- some in a line, some in groups of three and others on their own- impart further textural depth to the piece. The bowl has a gentle asymmetry and measures approximately 13 in diameter at the rim and stands approximately 3 high.It is in excellent original condition with only some inconsequential drying cracks on the bottom where it also has the artists signature. THANKS for looking and GOOD LUCK.
