LALIQUE FRANCE'ACTINIA' COUPE OUVERTE. An exquisite opalescent Coupe Ouverte believed to date circa 1933. His world-famous products were made through a combination of mould and blown methods, finished in a variety of personalised motifs; typically frosted, polished or glazed. By the 1920s Lalique became well-known for his influential art glass works which inspired the Art Deco style. In the height of production his factories were employing up to 600 people and creating millions of pieces. René died in 1945 but his son Marc re-started the company in 1948, notably changing production from demi-crystal to full lead crystal. Nowadays Lalique glassware is manufactured under Swiss ownership and continues to thrive as a truly timeless lifestyle brand. Pre-WWII (or 1945) Lalique pieces produced during the life of René are signed R. Lalique in either moulded, script, print or curved forms. Post-war and modern creations typically read Lalique France or Lalique.

This bowl measures 26.3cm diameter (4.5cm tall) and is in very good overall condition. There is a rather small 17mm chip to upper side of the rim with some typical bubbles inside glass and signs of scratching.
