FOLKS, SOME OF YOU HAVE SAID THAT THE PHOTOS DO NOT MATCH THE DESCRIPTIONS. A COMMON PROBLEM IN OUR PERFECT COMPUTER AGE. IF THIS HAPPENS, YOU NEED TO DELETE THE COOKIES FROM YOUR DEVICE, LOG OUT AND LOG BACK IN. OR SWITCH DEVICES TO VIEW THE AD. This is a VERY RARE Antique Northwood HEARTS AND FLOWERS Collar Based Pie Crust Edge Bowl with the Rayed or Ribbed exterior back pattern made in the early 1900's. The Base Glass color is very highly prized LIME/ICE GREEN!

These Jewels are RARE in either base glass color in with the Pie Crust Edge treatment... And this one is SPECTACULAR... This is a great opportunity to own a truly Gorgeous specimen with dazzling pastel iridescent properties. Wonderful Eye Appeal that makes a Whale of a statement on display. Yet quite Rich with Vivid Rainbow Multi-Color highlights throughout the intricate, elegant pattern details.

Splendid overall luster too helps to make it a pure pleasure to look at. If you have every dreamed of owning one of these RARE Gems, in LIME/ICE GREEN, a Gorgeous one, in superb overall shape... Please take a look at the photographs and enjoy. I have shown you as many angles and iridescent features as I could cram into 12 photographs. Dark areas in the photographs are absolutely shadows only. This is a tremendous opportunity to own a Magnificent specimen with Awesome eye appeal in every regard, a RARE opportunity for sure.

You'll look long and hard to find another one period... Let alone one that can come anywhere close to comparing to this one in iridescent splendor and condition. An Extremely Elusive, Truly Fantastic piece of Antique Northwood glass. Not all Northwood was marked, it has been very well documented that only 1/2 of the pieces made were marked.

I have owned thousands of pieces of Northwood over the years, handled that many more, and my experience has been less than half were marked. Antique Northwood at i ts VERY Finest! It is every Elegant, Rich and Exceptionally Beautiful as the photos show.

My photos are taken outside in natural indirect sunlight. I never use a flash or props.

I never enhance photos, never have, never will. I aim to show you the best iridescent color the piece offers.

If the piece looks awesome in the photos... What you see is what you will get! The piece is 8 5/8 inches wide at the widest point. It is 2 1/8 inches tall at the tallest point. There are NO CRACKS or REPAIRS on this EXTREMELY ELUSIVE, Exceptionally Colorful Pastel Antique Northwood Pie Crust Edge Bowl. A PREMIUM example of this fine antique glass! THE BASE: The mold seams are barely there to the touch... I can make out just very slight shelf wear on the bottom of the base which is very common for this fine antique glass... Certainly nothing uncommon on this Rare Jewel! It sits flat and level on a flat surface. THE INTERIOR: I can't make out any wear at all on the interior display surface of this Stellar Gem whatsoever which is extraordinary for the shape, pattern and this antique glass in general. The photographs of the interior clearly show it is in Fantastic shape.

It appears it was never used for anything but display throughout its very long 100 plus year old life. The iridescence is absolutely STUNNING with Fabulous overall luster... Vibrant Pastel Rainbow Multi-Color across the display surface make the piece an absolute pleasure to look at! The Rayed back pattern shows through to the front at various angles further enhancing a sharp overall presentation. The very intricate, elegant raised pattern details glisten with pure zest as natural light strikes the display surface.

The shelf presence is simply put... A Grand and Magnificent piece of Antique Northwood Glass!

THE EXTERIOR: I can't make out any wear on the exterior at all which is exceptional for this extremely elegant shape and pattern. Beautiful pastel color across the backside as well making the piece easy to display!

THE EDGE: The piece is well formed in every regard. The Pie Crust Edge is nice and even all the way around...

The teeth around the outside edge have all been accounted for. PHOTO 10 shows that on the backside of one tooth, there is a very small, very shallow flake... Shown clearly for you next to the end of a ball point pen for easy reference to any ball point pen in your home. You can clearly see how small and insignificant it is... Completely insignificant, in my opinion, on a truly RARE and absolutely Gorgeous piece that the photographs clearly show, in total, was so very well taken care of over the last 100 years.

It was absolutely kept as a Show Case piece without a doubt. Opportunities to own them, in LIME/ICE GREEN, are VERY RARE, and especially one this strikingly beautiful in this kind of condition! You'll be hard pressed to EVER find a finer one in iridescent splendor and condition! An Extremely Elusive, Strikingly Gorgeous piece of antique Northwood and an classic and classy piece of this century old glass. That is all I can find on this RARE, Elegant and Visually Exquisite Antique Northwood Pie Crust Edge Bowl.

A truly Fantastic example of this intricate, elegant and very highly prized pattern, shape and extremely difficult to obtain base glass color. This Stunning Gem stands WAY out in a crowd... Makes a Whale of a statement on display!

Lots of Dazzling Eye Appeal here to admire, show off and enjoy! Remarkable glistening properties too with Fabulous overall luster! If you love collecting those pieces that very few others have, and have ever dreamed of owning one, in LIME/ICE GREEN, in great overall shape... Take a darn good look here and give it serious consideration! It will add ultra sharp visual appeal and interest to your display as well as tremendous dollar value.

It is every bit as Gorgeous as the photographs show! I fully intend it to be that way, no glitz and glamour. I find it completely fascinating. There is nothing else like it in the world of antiques...

The historical pieces I sell are part of our history, as a country, and made right here in the good ole' USA unless I state otherwise. They represent a time when America made things, great things... Before it was popular to sell this country out! The photographs say it all! Nothing else needs to be done or said.

I do my best to point out damage or wear issues with the pieces I offer. True antique glass always has some manufacturing marks. It was made a century ago and mass produced...

Well before quality was an idea. Well before Cell Phones, Computers or any technology at all. It is hard for people to comprehend that today, but it is fact.

The working conditions were unbearable by today's standards, yet the hard working American's of this era produced some of the most amazing items ever made. Manufacturing marks within the glass are part of the charm of this period in time. If there is a manufacturing mark that is out of the ordinary... Such as excessive, contained, bubbles throughout the glass or a manufacturing heat check... Normal manufacturing marks such as straw marks, stretch marks, enclosed bubbles, light tool marks, though, will not be mentioned and should certainly be anticipated.

Look over the many photos provided. If typical manufacturing marks bother you...

Please ask questions up front! I will readily answer questions as diligently as I can. It will further your appreciation and hone your interest. I highly recommend David Doty's Carnival Glass Website. I also find his Field Guides extremely helpful if you can find them, there are several.

They are the best guide to learning patterns, especially the 2000 updated version. I also recommend Edwards and Carwile's Carnival Glass Encyclopedia... There are several editions published.

They cover the widest array of patterns of any guide I have seen and the text is excellent. There are other very worthy materials out there that will help you learn and grow, as well as numerous clubs and organizations. I use premium ONE INCH bubble wrap (not the cheap 1/4 inch) and foam peanuts to package the pieces exclusively. I take great pride in packaging these wonderful pieces of history VERY well...

Like they deserve to be packaged and I like them packaged for me. I never know how an item will sell. My goal, however, is to NEVER have a damaged piece of glass... My feedback comments prove my diligence in that regard.

Running No Reserve Auctions do not always allow me to do that... For repeat buyers I certainly will! I don't advertise it... I just do it when I send the invoice.

It is my way of saying THANK YOU! I run 7 to 10 day auctions with plenty of photos, text and lots of time for questions if needed.
