Presenting a stunning 1920s Art Deco period opalescent French art glass bowl in the highly appealing sunflower pattern designed by Georges Beal for the quality makers Etling France. This beautifully designed bowl glistens with the most divine opalescence which glows with appealing fiery tones. This exquisite glass bowl features three beautifully stylised sunflowers in gorgeous raised relief to the outer surface. The centre of each blossom forms a foot upon which this elegantly styled bowl proudly stands. The raised design magnificently accentuates the striking opalescent vaseline qualities of the glass, spectacularly radiating light throughout the sleek form. Rich and radiant fiery red and orange tones can be seen throughout the cool blue milky opalescent glass with light illuminating its surface, creating striking contrasts of colour.
The magnificent flowing petals of the flowers create a wonderfully appealing pattern which so perfectly encapsulates all of the style and elegance of the Art Nouveau / Art Deco period. Light reflects spectacularly off the impressive raised pattern, beautifully highlighting and defining the exquisite design.
This impressive piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with one absolutely minuscule flea bite sized nibble to the inner rim, noticeable only on extremely close examination in bright raking light but mentioned for complete accuracy. This incredibly small, shallow nibble is barely even noticeable to the touch it is that minute. This exquisite piece has been very well cared for, is incredibly hard to fault and presents spectacularly. This superb piece stands approx 68mms tall and measures 220mms in diameter.
