C1890 VICTORIAN Art Glass BRIDE'S BOWL w/Quad Silver STANDPink Cased w/Enamel. Presented for your consideration is this beautiful Victorian art glass bride's bowl in a quadruple silver plate stand. I believe the maker is likely Mount Washington although some of the fine English factories in the Stourbridge region are also possibilities. The bowl is shaded pink cased in white. It features a crimped "ribbon candy" amber edge and is decorated with exceptional gold enamel in a fern frond and flower design. The bowl alone measures 4 3/8" high, 9" across at the top and 4 1/4 at the base.
The bottom has a ground and polished pontil. The bowl fits nicely in the Rockford Manufacturing Company quadruple silver plated frame. It is an exceptional design which includes a delightful putti riding a goat! The frame is 6 3/4" high and 15" across at the widest point.
Both the bowl and the frame are in very good estate condition with no damage, wear or restoration found. This lovely bride's basket is sure to be welcome in any serious collection.
