C1890 Victorian Art Glass BRIDE'S BOWL Pink "MARY GREGORY" w/Silver Frame. Offered for your consideration is this Victorian art glass bride's bowl.
My thought is that it was likely made in one of the fine Bohemian factories at the end of the nineteenth century--any info appreciated. The glass is candy pink cased in opal. The folded bowl has a crimped and "dimpled" edge. It is decorated with a delightful enamel "Mary Gregory" design. This piece measures 1 3/4" high and 9 1/4" across. The bottom has an unusual rounded shape with a polished pontil. The bowl is in very good estate condition with no damage, wear or restoration found There is a tiny flaw on the reverse side of the rim which looks like a mold imperfection--please check the enlarged last photo to evaluate. This piece is pictured with an unmarked silver plated basket frame which is not original but looks nice and is included. It is in great shape as well with no problems noted. The metal has not been cleaned or polished.
A really charming example that should be a worthy addition to your collection.
