Austrian Art Nouveau Solid Silver Compote Centerpiece with Iridescent Green Gold Glass Bowl with Figural Dancing Beneath Flower Hallmarked BW. Presented is a stunning Art Nouveau center piece bowl or compote with an iridescent green and gold glass bowl atop a finely crafted solid silver figural base of a dancing girl amidst long tapered leaves up from a lilly pad gush of water hallmarked for Austrian silver with what I believe to be a makers mark of WB. This item is marked for 800 fine silver; American standard sterling silver is 925 fine so there is slightly less silver in this alloy. This is a great piece with only some repair work done to the leaves, no dents or dings, no monogram and only some fines scratches from gentle use and care as well as a slight lean to the bowl. This is an elegant artful piece of antique silver for the collector of quality Art Deco period items and a striking item in almost any décor or setting.

Hallmarks for Aurstian 800 fine silver and a makers mark I believe to be BW. No dents, dings or monogram in the silver. No chips or cracks in the glass, some fine scratches from gentle use and care, the silver base post figural has been repaired in the past along the leaves. This is my hobby and I do it for fun and a little spare cash. I describe my items to the best of my abilities.
