Art Deco Jade Green Jadeite Translucent Opaque 11.5 Bowl & Blk Glass Base
This is a sumptuous console or center bowl in translucent to opapue jade green glass on a black amethyst base. It shades from translucent, key lime, yellow-green to a rich, opaque, jadeite green depending on the light source and position. It was likely made by one of the American glass companies of the elegant period, during the 1920s-40s. It was produced in a mold and then fire polished to remove all traces of mold marks, except on the underside foot that sits in the black amethyst base. It is in stunning condition, measuring 11.5" in diameter, the black amethyst glass base standing 1.75" tall and being 4.25" acxross the top surface and 5.25" across the bottom at the feet. The bowl on the stand stands 3.75 tall. There are no chips, cracks or repairs to this excellent and elegant set.
