Can also be used as a low table platter. Note that the white spots and streaks are reflections from the photo lights. This piece is an original design by the emerging glass artist Dirwood (me). Here are the details for this piece.
Width: 15" Height: 3 ¼ ". Description: This hand blown glass platter is in my End Of Day Glass® series. As I was making this piece, I added a handful of gold aventurine to the color mix to create gold sparkles throughout the piece. The more light you shine on the piece, the more sparkles you will see. The piece is set of with a nice clear lip wrap border.
The colors are really nice and intense. Looks way better than the pictures. The bowl will hang on your wall - just like a picture - all you need is a secure picture hook. Or you can use it as a low table platter. This work is in perfect condition and has no chips, cracks or any structural defects. This piece is very stable and will not wobble at all.
It has been signed and dated on the bottom. Sent along with this piece comes an artist picture and bio sheet. Someday I might be famous and this piece could be worth a lot. Do not miss this opportunity to own a very unique and beautiful piece of art and help out a new artist too!!! Thanks for looking and good luck!!!

Here are some recent projects I have completed... One of my favorite applications of color use in the blowing process is working with glass canes. All these bowls are made with the techniques of pulling and fusing glass canes to create the patterns. Here are some pictures of my Mom and I pulling some canes. I really love this process... It's exciting stretching molten glass across the driveway. It is really important that the glass be at just the right temperature, because if the glass is too hot.
It falls to the ground and if its not hot enough it won't pull. Depending on the type of canes we pull, sometimes we pull them over 100 feet!
If "signature required" does not work for you, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU PAY. I want to thank everyone for the kind words they are saying about my glass.. A true masterpiece, it is breathtaking.
